Front Range Memory Experiment (from the studio), Graphite on paper, 18" x 26", 2016.

Over the last two years I worked on a pair of graphite drawings based on the view from my balcony in Capitol Hill, Denver, and also on each other. One drawing was made at home, the other at my studio. They began very similarly, like twins, and differentiated over time. Working very slowly, I allowed the drawings to emerge from the paper, manifesting countless moments of looking at and remembering both the ever-changing landscape, and each other.

They will be included in the exhibition To Denver: With Love, at ReCreative Denver, from February 2, 2017-February 22, 2017.
